This Sunday March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. A day for the patron saint of Ireland and is celebrated with cultural and religious celebrations around the world. The holiday has evolved into a giant celebration filled with parades, music, dancing, special foods, drinking, shamrocks and a lot of green.
Here are some St. Patrick’s Day events happening in Palm Beach County.
Delray Beach is hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival this Friday and Saturday, March 15th and 16th. Everyone is invited to show off their green and gather for a fun-filled event along Atlantic Avenue. The parade and festival is presented by the Delray Beach Firefighters and Paramedics Benevolent Fund. The Parade Pre-Party will begin this Friday, March 15th at 5 pm at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and there will be live music, food trucks, cold drinks, and a lot of shenanigans. The St. Paddy’s Day Festival will start Saturday, the 16th at 10 am through 6 pm also at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The parade will kick off at 2 pm and the day will include cold beer, music and entertainment, food, games, vendors, a kid’s area and much more. Downtown Abacoa in Jupiter is hosting their 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party on Sunday, March 17th from 1 pm to 5 pm. Join your neighbors for a day of fun on Town Center Drive. There will be live music and entertainment, complimentary mini golf, face painting, rock climbing wall, kid’s activities, and food and drink specials. Click here for more information. There will also be a Sprint Training baseball going on at the Roger Dean Stadium in downtown Abacoa. The Miami Marlins take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:05 pm. Click here for tickets.
Stuart is hosting its Shamrockfest 2019 at the Riverwalk Stage area this Saturday, March 16th from 3 pm to 9 pm. There will be live music all day by the Kindred Kilts, cold green beer, Irish whiskey bar, amazing food, a kid’s zone, Irish Step-dancers, a costume contest and much more. Tickets are $8 dollars in advance and includes a free green beer or are $10 dollars at the door. Kids under 12 years old and under are free. Click here for more information.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth will be this Sunday, March 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm. Downtown Lake Worth will turn green for the 13th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade which benefits Wheels for Kids. Wheels for Kids is a organization that provides custom wheelchairs to children with special needs and will be donating a custom wheel chair to a child in need at the parade. The parade will start on Lake Avenue at 2 pm and the parade is free to attend. For more information, click here.
