On Friday, October 26th, the Humane Society of Greater Jupiter/Tequesta will be hosting “PAWTY Masquerade,” a party to raise money and awareness for its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home animals.

The event will take place at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter located at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, Linda Gore will serve as event chairman, and the evening will be filled with excitement, fun, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and lots of delightful surprises. The Honda Classic golf tournament donated a phenomenal $4.55 million to South Florida children’s charities in 2018, increasing the PGA TOUR’s impact on the lives of local children for the 12th consecutive year.

Proceeds from the Honda Classic Cares initiative will benefit 137 charitable organizations in Palm Beach County, as well as more than 50,000 children and their families.

Rocktoberfest is a free music festival with bands playing at the Abacoa amphitheatre and on street stages, with the addition of craft beer trucks, food tents, giant beer pong, artists and craft vendors, and even the Oktoberfest-inspired stein-holding contest. Golfers are getting ready for the 21st Annual Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament happening on October 15th at the Boca West Country Club. The tournament was started in 1997 and has tripled in participation over the last decade with 340 golfers attending last year's tournament which raised $465,000 for the foundation.

The annual tournament benefits the hospital’s nursing program, with the goal to support recruitment, retention, continuing education, and quality of care for patients.

The 36th annual Swing For Kids Charity Golf Classic will be held this Saturday, September 22nd, benefiting Achievement Centers for Children & Families. The event always is a huge success and lots of fun for everyone participating.

September is National Hunger Action Month, and the Palm Beach County Food Bank is hosting "A Magical Night to Fight Hunger" to raise money and awareness for hungry local families. 

The evening includes a 3-course dinner with an appetizer, main dish and dessert provided by downtown restaurants including Yard House and Avocado Grill. There will be a strolling magician and other special surprises for guests. 

The PBC Food Bank collects and gives food to local soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters.
