The American Cancer Society has announced that professional golfer Jack Nicklaus, known as the “Golden Bear”, will be hosting the organization’s 50th Annual 19th Hole Club fundraiser this November.

The American Cancer Society’s 19th Hole Club was founded 50 years ago by Nicklaus, Bob Hope, and Perry Como to help raise crucial funds to fight cancer.

Since its inaugural event in 1968, more than 80 PGA and LPGA TOUR players have hosted the affair. It has since evolved from an exhibition match in the 1960s, to a luncheon and golf clinic in the 1980s, to what is not a social soiree with an open bar, refined chef-prepared food, a glow-in-the-dark putting contest, a chipping contest, and a silent auction.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Palm Beach has announced that Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, and actor Josh Groban will be performing at the organization’s 2019 Discovery Celebration.

Marking its 28th year, the event will feature an elegant evening of dinner, excitement, and Groban’s anticipated performance. Previous headliners include Jennifer Hudson, James Taylor, Kristen Chenoweth, and David Foster.

With active involvement from devoted volunteers, Dana-Farber offers a series of fundraising events every year from October to March to support state-of-the-art cancer patient care and cutting-edge research.

Little Moir’s Food Shack in Jupiter is known for its inspired fresh fish dishes and live music, but this Sunday they’re using their culinary gifts for a greater good.

On Sunday, November 4th from 5-8 pm, Food Shack will be hosting a night with dinner, drinks, live music, a silent auction, and raffles to fundraise for other families who may not be able to afford a large Thanksgiving.

Tickets are $85, and 100% of ticket sales and proceeds will go to Merciful Heavens of Jupiter, Florida. The non-profit provides families in need with a gift of 35 pounds of fresh food just in time for Thanksgiving including turkey, potatoes, corn, beans, onions, apples, cranberry, broth, stuffing, and pumpkin pie.

The natural language of around 500,000 deaf people in the US and Canada is American Sign Language (ASL). Loggerhead Marinelife Center has decided to make things easier for their wide range of visitors by offering ASL tours in addition to their regularly scheduled daily tours.

ASL-guided tours are now available upon request and led by a fluent guide ready to share exciting educational information about their incredible sea turtle research and rehabilitation efforts. Tours usually last for an hour and are $10 a person with a five-person or $50 minimum.

The Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation (ERAF) invites you to join the 3rd Annual Country Festival presented by Infiniti Stuart.

The festival will feature fun for the whole family including pony rides, barn tours, trick-or-treating, live music by the Samantha Russel Band, a dance demonstration by the Cactus Moon Dance Club, and food made by the Martin County Sherriff’s Office Grill Team. Food is courtesy of Corner Café Tequesta, and beer is provided by Hop Life Brewing Company.

Entry is $3 a person, and all proceeds benefit the rescue horses of Equine Rescue & Adoption Foundation.

The festival will take place on Sunday, October 21st 12-4pm at 6400 SW Martin Hwy in Palm City, Florida.

On November 10th, Westchester Country Club in Boynton Beach will be hosting the 9th Annual Golf “Fore” Paws to benefit the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue.

The rescue’s mission is to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats from becoming victims to shelter euthanasia, while educating the public on the importance of adoption and spay and neuter in the community. Every animal rescued is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, tested, provided medical care, and placed in a foster home.

To date, the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue has saved more than 8,000 dogs and cats from being euthanized, has performed over 1,200 surgeries, plus over 6,000 spays and neuters.

The charity golf tournament takes place on November 10th from 10:30am until 7:30pm…

This past weekend, Bluewater Babes Fish for A Cure celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a bang- literally! The usual festivities at Sailfish Marina were not only over the top, but the series of events culminated with a grand fireworks show over Peanut Island.   When it comes to fishing, SPICED RUM's Sherry Beswick took first place Kingfish with 42.7 lbs, Stacy Maderal of LUNATICO took second with 20.5 lbs, and Gwen Belcher of PRETTY WORK won third with 19.3 lbs. Tasha Ford of TEMPTATION won first place dolphin with 20.2 lbs, Tina Martin of THANKS GIRLS won second with 15.6 lbs, and Shannon Discount won third with 15.3 lbs.
