A generous group of volunteers in Delray Beach offered additional support for the frontline healthcare workers at the Delray Medical Center, 5352 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach. The hospital has served the South Palm Beach County community for 30 years as a 536-bed acute care hospital.  The medical center is a community hospital and a Level I Trauma Center.  The hospital offers highly specialized services such as neuroscience, oncology, cardiac care, orthopedics, rehabilitation and E.R.

As a sign of appreciation, this weekend volunteers in South Palm Beach County increased efforts to deliver about 100 care packages to healthcare workers at Delray Medical Center. The packages were filled with all the ingredients to prepare a healthy meal.…

It’s a wreck out there – a shipwreck!  A couple hundred feet off the Delray Beach Municipal Beach lies the “S.S. Inchulva”.  The ship went down in the historical hurricane of 1903. This sunken steel-hulled freighter has become a very popular diving location in South Florida, and it is excellent for the beginner diver. The nearly 400-foot freighter rests in only 25 feet of water and is a great dive or snorkeling spot.

 The "S.S. Inchulva" set sail from England in July 1903, bound for Galveston to receive a shipment of agricultural products. In what became its final voyage, the ship left Galveston Sept. 6 with a cargo of wheat, lumber and cotton. Its destination was Newport News, Virginia.  It is not known if the ship was aware of a hurricane…

The 55th Annual Delray Affair takes place this weekend, April 7 – 9, 2017, along the friendly streets of downtown Delray Beach.  Nicknamed the "Greatest Show under the Sun", the Delray Affair is one of the largest arts & craft festivals in the southern United States.
