Since its opening in 1977, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, 4000 Morikami Park Road in Delray Beach, has been a center for Japanese arts and culture in South Florida, with alternating expositions in its galleries. Tea ceremonies are performed monthly in the Seishinan ceremonial tea house.  Japanese long-established festivals are commemorated for the public several times a year.

The Morikami Museum Collection houses over 5,000 Japanese art objects and artifacts.  Within the collection is a 500-piece collection of customary tea ceremony items. More than 200 textile pieces and recent fine art acquisitions, as well as 200 acres that surround the Morikami museum buildings.

There is a wonderful new smoothie and soft-serve shop in Delray Beach that is intended for lingering. The little café's name says it all “Joyfull”. Joyfull is an open-air, plant-based smoothie, soft-serve and latte shop located at 2219 Seacrest Boulevard in Delray Beach that opened several weeks ago.

The imaginative healthy cafe was the brainchild of wellness coach, entrepreneur, and former talent manager Leah Landon.  Leah has worked with top entertainers such as Lady Gaga, Fat Joe, Kelis, Eve, Mario and Jadakiss.

There is a new place enhancing the Delray Beach culinary scene. Warren American Whisky,  is an “American whiskey kitchen” within a 6,000 square-foot space, with both interior and outdoor spaces.  The restaurant features wood flooring, dim lighting, and rich leathers and velvets.

The Achievement Centers for Children and Families of Delray Beach will unveil its “Adopt-A-Classroom” strategy for the forthcoming 2021-2022 school year.  The purpose of the program is to give crucial support to the organization’s Early Learning Program classrooms. Achievement Centers for Children and Families supporters can make a one-time donation of $1,500 to “adopt” an Early Learning Program classroom.  The donation will help provide supplies to the school children throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

The donations will support arts and crafts supplies, on-site field trips, STEM supplies, snacks for classroom events.  Additionally, the donations will contribute to curriculum materials and related trainings, student activities and teacher…
