The first "Friends of Jupiter Beach" beach cleanup is slated for this Saturday January 15th from 8:00 A.M.  to 10:00 A.M. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. Volunteers and supporters of the environment are invited to meet at the Anita Lankler Pavilion. The beach cleanup helps maintain our beaches for generations to come. For more information visit the FJB Facebook page. The volunteers will clean a 2 1/2 mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. The specified crossovers are at 22-59.

-        Sign in and get a lottery ticket for a chance to win a thank-you prize.

-        Grab provided gloves, grabbers, and small bags.

Palm Beach County residents have been involved in recycling for decades.  National Recycling Day is this week. Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. The recovery of energy from waste materials is often included in this concept.

The recyclability of a material depends on its ability to reacquire the properties it had in its original state.

Join the Loxahatchee River Center of Jupiter every Saturday at 2:00 P.M. for a free public tour of the aquariums. Not only do you and the kids get to learn all about local Southeast Florida wildlife, but you’ll have the opportunity to see the fish in action during feeding time!  The Andrew "Red" Harris Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2021 artificial reef project is about to begin with the deployment of the first of five 500-ton barge loads of huge 8' long concrete culverts offshore of the Jupiter inlet! This year's project benefits from Forterra's donation of 2500 culverts valued at $450,000 to the Andrew "Red" Harris Foundation. The culverts are presently being trucked and staged for loading on barges that will begin deploying a mile off the Jupiter inlet in the first week of May.

In 1994, the threat of closing the beach to dogs rallied a small group of concerned citizens, who quickly began organizing beach cleanups and providing dog waste bags at beach crossovers. Since then, the group has exploded, with individuals and businesses joining in an effort which “repeatedly demonstrate care for their marine environment and the privilege of taking our four-footed friends to one of the last dog beaches in the area”.
