Cypress Creek Natural Area in Jupiter offers a nice scenic path along the boardwalks overlooking the ecological area. The River Center continues to collaborate with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safely Classes targeted specifically to young boaters in our community. The River Center is in Burt Reynolds Park on US 1, just north of Indiantown Road in Jupiter.

The Town of Jupiter’s Loxahatchee River Center, located at 805 North U.S. Highway One, invites you to flutter on over to the second annual Atala Butterfly Festival and Family Day.  On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 between 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The River Center will be celebrating the Atala butterfly! Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, 2500 Jupiter Park Drive in Jupiter, received a $20,000 grant to fund environmental education. The grant, awarded by the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation, is intended to fund virtual fields trips for children in schools across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.  This generous donation from the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation will impact up to 1,000 children in 40 classrooms. 

The program is a STEM curriculum-based project and will enhance the children’s science courses to keep them involved with nature. The Town of Jupiter has a rich historic timeline filled with stories. Tales of the area ranging from the ancient Indians, Tequesta Tribe, that lived here until the European discovery of the area by Ponce de Leon.
