This October, the Friends of Jupiter Beach’s annual Food and Wine Festival will still go on but this year, the festival is going virtual. The festival will celebrate the non-profit organization through video presentations from local chefs and bartenders.

The Food and Wine Festival is scheduled to begin at 4 pm on Saturday, October 17th. The event will highlight some food offerings in the area while celebrating the Friends of Jupiter Beach’s mission. Some of the restaurants participating in the virtual event include Café Chardonnay, Tommy Bahama, Leftovers Café, and Copper’s Hawk.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows you to Adopt a Sea Turtle. The program helps benefit the continuous care and treatment for the sick, endangered, and injured sea turtles.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation center and sea turtle hospital whose mission is aimed to protect the ocean and all that live in it. The Marinelife Center provides treatment and care for endangered and injured sea turtles before being released into the ocean.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Twilight Yoga at the Light. Every Monday night throughout the month of September, head to the iconic red lighthouse for a Yoga class.

The outdoor Yoga classis held on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday night. All levels of Yoga are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The class size is limited, and registration is required online to reserve your spot.

The class is taught by yoga instructor Mary Veal. If you plan on attending, you are asked to bring your own yoga mat and water bottle, and all those who attend must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. The Yoga class lasts approximately an hour.

This September, several restaurants along Town Center Drive in Jupiter’s downtown Abacoa have teamed up to offer special September dining deals. The dining deals are part of their month-long promotion called Dine the Drive.

One restaurant owner formed the idea after hearing that Flavor Palm Beach, the county’s largest dining-deal promotion will not be returning until next year. Shortly after the idea was formed, many downtown Abacoa restaurants joined in.

Restaurants along Town Center Drive will be offering three-course menu options and specialty prices during the month of September.  The restaurants participating include Brick and Barrel, Jumby Bay Island Grill, Das Beer Gardens, and Stadium Grill.

Take your boat to the movies. This Saturday, September 12th the Futures Recovery Healthcare partnered with the Jupiter Pointe Club and Marina for the first local boat-in movie theater. The event is to honor the second annual Jupiter Recovery Day.

Jupiter Recovery Day is an annual event founded by the Tequesta based Futures that honors and celebrates recovery from mental health and substance use disorders in the local community. All proceeds from this weekend’s event will benefit and be donated to Believe With Me, a local charity supporting families of fallen soldiers. The event is open to the public.

Every month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their reoccurring and popular Lighthouse Sunset Tour. Head to the lighthouse in Jupiter on Wednesday nights this September and join in on the fun.

The Sunset Tour includes a tour of the lighthouse watch room to see how everything works, a chance to watch the light turn on and illuminate the Jupiter sky and a climb to the top of the lighthouse tower to see the incredible views.

The tour is approximately one hour and cost $25 dollars per person or $20 dollars per lighthouse member. Tickets are limited and must be purchased prior to the tour. Children are welcomed to attend the Lighthouse Sunset Tour and must be 48 inches tall or taller to climb the 105 steps to the top of the Lighthouse.

Once a month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their reoccurring Lighthouse Moonrise Tour. September’s Moonrise tour is happening this Wednesday, September 2nd.

Those who attend the Moonrise Tour this Wednesday night will learn about the history of the Jupiter Lighthouse while enjoying the views of Jupiter and the full moon. The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and the tours are weather permitting. Be sure to check their website for more information for updates.
