The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is a not-for-profit, professional performing arts center in downtown West Palm Beach in Palm Beach County. The popular Broadway Musical Hamilton is coming to Kravis Center in West Palm Beach this January. Hamilton is set to take over the Kravis Center Tuesday, January 28th through Sunday, February 16th and tickets are selling out quick.

The Tony-Award Winning Musical opened on Broadway in August 2015 and is continuing to sell out every show. The musical tells the story of the American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through music and show tunes. Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and later became America’s first Treasury Secretary.

The musical is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes long with a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are still available to purchase.

The Lion King is coming the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts at the end of the month as part of the center’s “Kravis on Broadway” series.

Disney’s The Lion King is hitting the stage Wednesday, April 24th through Sunday, May 5th. The popular movie turned Broadway show has been played to more than 95 million people around the world and this is the first time the musical will be in West Palm Beach. The Lion King has won 6 Tony Awards including Best Musical during the show opened on Broadway in 1997. The Lion King is one of the longest running shows on Broadway.

The musical is based on the Disney classic and is about a young lion and his quest to win back the title of King of his kingdom from his uncle. The film and musical features musical hits from

School of Rock is playing tomorrow night, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the Kravis Center. The musical makes for a great afternoon or evening out with the family.

Based on the hit film, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. It features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage.
