The Lion King is coming the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts at the end of the month as part of the center’s “Kravis on Broadway” series.

Disney’s The Lion King is hitting the stage Wednesday, April 24th through Sunday, May 5th. The popular movie turned Broadway show has been played to more than 95 million people around the world and this is the first time the musical will be in West Palm Beach. The Lion King has won 6 Tony Awards including Best Musical during the show opened on Broadway in 1997. The Lion King is one of the longest running shows on Broadway.

The musical is based on the Disney classic and is about a young lion and his quest to win back the title of King of his kingdom from his uncle. The film and musical features musical hits from award winning artists Elton John and Tim Rice. Some of the musical hits include Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King and many more.

Tickets are required for the musical which is roughly two and a half hours long with a fifteen-minute intermission. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Kravis Center box office.

Monday: No show
Tuesday: 8 pm show
Wednesday: 8 pm show
Thursday: 8 pm show
Friday: 8 pm show
Saturday: 2 pm and 8 pm show
Sunday: 1 pm and 6:30 pm show
