This Saturday, September 19th at 10:00 AM, The Kennedy Space Center will host an Astronaut Training Experience for anyone ages 10 and older!

The all-new Astronaut Training Experience Center is located in Merritt Island, Florida, and is the newest attraction at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The experience will bring you as close to training, living, and working on Mars as possible without ever leaving earth by practicing your docking skills, navigating the unique Red Planet terrain, and experiencing the sensation of performing a spacewalk in a microgravity environment. This weekend, The South Florida Science Center invites your family to SPEND THE NIGHT! Not only can you sleepover at the science museum, but you'll get to explore the "Hall of Heroes" exhibit - an exhibit full of interactive activities to test your superhero powers. Activities include an obstacle course, a scavenger hunt, and superhero crafts alongside real superheroes in the flesh like Hulk, Ironman, and Superman!

Cost includes pizza for dinner, continental breakfast, and all activities. Participants supply their own sleeping bag, pillow, and hygiene materials.

This event is for children 3 years and older, and one adult chaperone must accompany every 5 children for the entire visit.

On the third Saturday of every month, a large group from Blue Friends and the public get together and hosts their monthly Beach Clean Up.

The Beach Clean Up takes place along the beaches of Juno Beach. The Clean Up last approximately an hour and you are asked to bring gardening gloves, buckets and sun protection to help participate.

Following the Beach Clean Up, there will be a light breakfast sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens and complimentary coffee by Oceana Coffee.

The Beach Clean Up’s are to help to keep our beaches clean that thousands of sea turtles gather and nest along the shores of Juno Beach. By keeping the beaches clean, the sea turtle nests and sea turtles can stay strong and heathy.

The Downtown at the Gardens and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum present a Kids Crawl this Wednesday, July 31st.

Families are invited to join in on the fun filled Kids Crawl as part of the Downtown at the Gardens monthly events. The Kids Crawl occur on the last Wednesday of the month and include free carousel rides, arts and crafts, children’s activities, games, family events, retails promotions and much more.

Each month there is a different theme, and the month of July is a “Pirates of the East Coast” theme and includes treasure maps, pirate flag decorating, pirate story time and more.

The Kids Crawl is a free family friendly event that starts at 11 am this Wednesday, July 31st in the Centre Court of the Downtown at the Gardens.

Rapids Water Park is a popular summer attraction in Palm Beach County. The water park is the largest water park in all of South Florida with more than 30 acres of space. The park features 42 slides and attractions including a wave pool, lazy river, a kid’s zone, surfing, body boarding, and giant water slides.

The water park and slides range in all levels of intensity, some of the slides can hold up to 6 people at a time. This year marks the water park’s 40th Anniversary and opened for the summer season in March. Rapids can also accommodate and host special events, school trips, parties, and have cabana rentals to rent throughout the day.
