The Juno Beach Fishing pier is a popular destination in northern Palm Beach County for locals and visitors. 

The fishing pier is a 990-foot-long T-shaped pier that offers great saltwater fishing. The Pier is home to a full-service Pier House that features a friendly Guest Service Team, bags of ice, snacks, drinks, various fishing gear, tackle, fishing poles available for rentals, and much more.

The Fishing Pier is managed by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach. The Pier is part of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center’s Responsible Pier Initiative which is the first of its kind. Every Saturday morning, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center partners with local organizations to help keep our beautiful beaches clean.

The Self-Guided Beach Clean Up requires no reservations or pre-requirements. Simply just show up with gloves and a bucket and begin. The Beach Clean Up happens on the beach near the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

The Self-Guided Clean Up was added to their calendar every Saturday morning in 2020 due to its popularity. The weekly event asks for volunteers to help in doing our part to keep our beaches clean and to help protect our oceans and Marinelife.

For the entire month of May, Palm Beach County is dedicated at celebrating culture and art in the county. MOSAIC is back this May with events, shows, art, and culture all month long. 

MOSAIC stands for Month of Shows, Art, Ideas, and Culture and it takes place at several locations around Palm Beach County. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy special discounts and deals at many local attractions. 

MOSAIC is put together every year by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. The Council was formed in 1978 and has since evolved to be a strong local arts advocate. Palm Beach County is known as Florida’s Cultural Capital and this month its all about more.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Turtle Trot 5K Run tomorrow morning along the beach and A1A. Runners and walkers will be taking the starting line bright and early tomorrow morning for the 3.1-mile race. 

This year, the race will start at A1A and Marcinski Road and go north towards the Jupiter Inlet. The turnaround point will be at beach marker #45, just past Jupiter Key Condos. The race will finish back at Ocean Cay Park.

Road closures are expected to begin on race day at 6:45 am and roads are expected to be back open for vehicle traffic around 9 am.  A1A and Marcinski Road will be closed during the Turtle Trot for the walkers and runners.

Today, Friday, May 5th is Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory of the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862.  The Mexican Army was led by General Ignacio Zaragoza, the victory was a morale boost for the Mexicans. 

Cinco de Mayo is typically celebrated by parades, celebrations, live music, food, battle reenactments, folkloric dancing, and is honored and celebration by millions around the world.

Every Wednesday, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts the reoccurring Lighthouse Sunset Tours for locals and visitors. 

The climb to the top of the Lighthouse includes 105 steps to enjoy the specular view of Jupiter and the ocean. The tour includes an inside look at the Lighthouse Watchroom and visitors will even get a chance to watch the light turn on and illuminate the sky. 

The iconic red Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse stands 108 feet tall and was built and designed by George Meade. The Lighthouse is still actively lit and acts to help boaters navigate the sea.  The Lighthouse grounds are open daily for special events and tours.

The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium located in Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa is home to two Minor League Baseball Teams. The stadium is home to the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Cardinals. 

The Jupiter Stadium is home to two Major League Baseball teams during their Spring Training. The Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals.
