This Saturday the Downtown Abacoa Amphitheater in Jupiter will host a Billy Joel Tribute Band. The Turnstiles deliver an unforgettable Billy Joel concert tribute experience. The Florida Brewery Running Series has a fun run scheduled for January 15, 2022, and everyone will run for beer! Meet up at Storm House Brewing, 1201 U.S. Highway 1, Unit 15, in North Palm Beach at 11:00 am for a 5k course. It is requested that you arrive 30 minutes ahead of time. The “kinda-sorta” 5K starts and ends at the trendy brewery. Select your pace and your distance as you wind through the neighboring streets at whatever pace you like, no matter what there will be a beer waiting for you at the finish line!

The first "Friends of Jupiter Beach" beach cleanup is slated for this Saturday January 15th from 8:00 A.M.  to 10:00 A.M. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. Volunteers and supporters of the environment are invited to meet at the Anita Lankler Pavilion. The beach cleanup helps maintain our beaches for generations to come. For more information visit the FJB Facebook page. The volunteers will clean a 2 1/2 mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. The specified crossovers are at 22-59.

Palm Beach County announced the temporary bridge closure of the Donald Ross Road bridge. The Donald Ross Bascule Bridge crosses the Intracoastal Waterway at Mile Marker 1009.3 with high vertical clearance of thirty-five feet and ninety feet of horizontal space in the center span. The bridge has a restricted opening schedule, opening on the hour and half-hour. 

The bridge intersects Ellison Wilson Road and Donald Ross Road.  Have you ever wondered why those names? The State of Florida only has a few remaining Dog-Friendly Beaches in the entire state and the Town of Jupiter is proud to have one of them.  Jupiter Beach is doggone-friendly! In 1989, the town adopted the policy to allow dogs to play on the beach.  Since then, the stretch of sand where dogs are permitted has grown to 2.5 miles long. The Dog-Friendly Beach area stretches from Carlin Park at Beach Marker #57 to Marcinski Road at Beach Marker #25. In this designated area, dogs are allowed to play freely while being supervised by their owners.

Pet owners are requested to abide by the Town of Jupiter simple rule's simple rules to maintain the dog-friendly beach.
