The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority explained that the public installation of “The Swings: An Exercise in Musical Cooperation” will be the first stop on the East Coast installations tour of the United States.  The public swing installation is located on the 500 block of Clematis Street (between Quadrille Boulevard and Rosemary Avenue), West Palm Beach.   It is “an interactive display, which essentially acts as a giant musical instrument.”

The concept was created by the French Canadian design group Daily tous les jours. Originally referred to as “21 Swings” in Montreal, Canada.  The public installation in Montreal averaged 8,500 times per day in four years.

The almost 279,000 square foot office building off of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard that was once the top “business hub” in West Palm Beach has sold for $20.5 million.

The three building property was sold last week according to PRP Real Estate Investment to a Miami based owner. Crimson Peak LLC is a Miami based company and they have purchased the forum to potentially transform it from office buildings into a hotel.

The famous Forum building was built in the 1970’s when downtown West Palm Beach was much less developed and was in need of more office space. This Sunday, January 31, will be the fourth annual Ibis Charities Care and Share Food Drive. The premier West Palm Beach Country Club, Ibis Golf and Country Club, offers some of the top golf and country club real estate in southern Florida. This local event of good will and generosity has become the largest food drive of any community in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.

This year’s Ibis Charities Care and Share Food Drive is sure to make an impact! Just because we live in sunny, South Florida doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a snowy holiday! Every night, City Place in West Palm Beach turns into a winter wonderland with a beautiful snowfall.

The former Jai Alai Fronton at Mangonia Park in West Palm Beach has been selected for a new, $500 million business and technology center. The center is the vision of Victor Palacios, a former real estate broker and businessman. Palacios said his Palm Beach Business and Technology Center would feature businesses and vocational schools as well as a K-12 charter school, a cultural center, a sports venue, some retail and dining, and even a hotel.

The Mangonia Park, a 53 acre piece of land on 45th street that has been owned by boxing promoter, Don King since 1999. The land has been vacant and unused since 1994. It has been appraised by the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser and was given a market value of nearly $7million.
