The Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art
The Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art has become known for its impressive displays of fine art, contemporary art and exhibitions from around the globe. It is home to some of the most admired pieces of art the world has to offer, whether permanently or temporarily on display.
When you visit the Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art you first see its beautiful architecture and stunning displays, but soon you realize how much history and prestige the museum has to offer. The gallery has been endorsed as being the “cultural impact” that has influenced other small towns to display and celebrate fine art. The museum’s origin goes back to the late 1940’s, when a local group of lady socialites came together to form the town's first organization, a civic club, with the goal to build a small library. They soon offered an open house in their “library” which showcased an exhibition of borrowed paintings, loaned to them by friends with a great collection as well as other local galleries from Miami to Palm Beach. Over 1,000 locals came out to support the open house and the love of fine art. From this point the “Art Guild of Boca Raton” was created.
After its humble origins, the Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art has grown into something much bigger and with more to offer. Today you can find works from Picasso, Warhol, Monet and more on display, as well as a tremendous rotation of traveling exhibits. The museum always has something fresh and new to offer its spectators and even classes and lectures for those who want to expand their horizons and skills in the world of art.
