The Riverwalk in Jupiter
The Riverwalk in Jupiter is a recreational pathway that runs along the Intracoastal waterway from north of the Jupiter Inlet to the Jupiter Natural Ridge Area. The multiple use area is approximately 2.5 miles long and travels through residential area, commercial areas, marinas and waterfront parks.
All who visit can enjoy a nice walk, run or bike ride and enjoy the view along the way. In the morning or evening you can see string rays, manatees, and a variety of fish and birds including Ospreys.
The Riverwalk provides access to the Jupiter Yacht Club Marina where views of the Intracoastal and marina are, in addition to shopping at local retail stores and restaurants located in the marina area. Continue North, heading towards Harbourside Place, the main entertainment hub for the Riverwalk and The Plaza Down Under on the Riverwalk, located under the Indiantown Bridge and Coastal Way. The space is used for public events, such as the Waterfront Market every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. Featuring some of the best local produce, flowers, and crafts.
The Riverwalk also provides access to the Burt Reynolds Park. The waterfront park features picnic pavilions, the Loxahatchee River Environmental Center and public boat ramps. The Loxahatchee River Environmental Center opened in 2008 and allows visitors to learn about the wild and scenic Loxahatchee River, see live aquatic tanks, hosts children’s programs, fish feeding, art classes, tours, and educates the public about the importance of the River.
The Riverwalk’s final stop is along the shoreline across from the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. This part of the pathway focuses on two bodies of water and where they meet, the Loxahatchee River and the Jupiter Inlet. This area is boasting with boating activity, fishing charters, waterfront restaurants, retail shops, marinas, water taxi’s and much more.
