What You Need To Know About Boating In Jupiter

Palm Beach County has begun to enter Phase One of Reopening Florida and here is what you need to know about how to stay safe when on the water and how to safely use one of Jupiter’s boating ramps. 

Palm Beach County Officials allowed the use of some recreational facilities for residents on Wednesday, April 29th. The order allowed for certain places to open with rules and restrictions for social distancing and CDC guidelines. 

Boating Rules:

Recreational and commercial boating may resume following capacity restrictions based on the size of the boat. 

Restrictions include: 

Boat 25 foot or less: maximum 6 persons

Boat 26 ft to 36 ft: maximum 8 persons

Boat 37ft to 60 ft: maximum 10 persons

Boat 60 ft and larger: maximum 10 persons plus crew

Beaching, landing, mooring or anchoring of the vessel on sandbars, open shoreline or island is prohibited. 

Fish cleaning/ Bait stations are limited to one person at a time.

Single riders only on rented personal watercraft.

Boat Ramps:

Recreational charter boats, drift fishing and dive boats, marinas, boat docks, boat ramps and other launching areas are allowed to operate in adherence with the CDC guidelines and county guidelines.
