This Saturday, June 8th, is World Oceans Day where people around the world celebrate and honor the ocean.

Celebrations begin at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton on 9 am on Saturday and then again at noon on Sunday. The day’s activities include: coloring activities, learning experiences, games and activities, a chance to create recycles artwork, take a picture with the sea turtle mascot Luna, tour the Nature Center, Food trucks and much more.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is celebrating by hosting a Beach Clean Up on Saturday morning at 8:30 am. Those who wish to attend are asked to bring a bucket and gloves to help keep our beaches and oceans clean from litter and trash. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is also hosting several other events throughout the day including: Jr. Research Lab, Public Guided Tours, Fish Feedings, Evening Guided Tours, and Turtle Walks.
