When you are looking for farm-fresh food, there is no better place to go than to one of the green markets in Palm Beach County. Luckily, this area has a longer growing season than most places. A handful of farm fresh markets are open year-round affording residents of the Palm Beaches fresh and local fruits and vegetables almost any day of the year.

The main health benefit of locally grown food is that it is fresher. Fruits and vegetables begin to lose their nutrients within 24 hours of being picked, so fresher produce is more nutritious. In addition, locally grown food is picked at its peak ripeness, when it is most dense with nutrients.
