Many locals have been asking the question “why do we need a parking garage in charming Jupiter Inlet Village?”  The answer comes from Jupiter’s Town Council.  Several years ago, the Town Council put into place planning policies that would support a development pattern for our funky fishing village.  The idea was to fill the quaint area with limited height buildings, no taller than 3.5 stories. As anyone who lives in Palm Beach County knows, our beloved sea turtles are actively protected.  Raising awareness during nesting season is crucial to their survival.  The sea turtles recently received a tremendous amount of exposure this nesting season thanks to a series of events known as “Art Arribada”.

An “arribada” is a large aggregation of sea turtles coming ashore together to nest at the same time and the same place. The Gardens Mall, Palm Beach Gardens, and PNC Bank collaborated with Loggerhead Marine Life Center, Juno Beach, to raise funds for the center and important environmental programs. Harvest festivals are traditionally held on or near the Sunday of the Harvest Moon.  This full moon occurs closest to the autumn equinox (about September 23).
