The Palm beach Zoo and Conservation Society is a non-profit organization and one of Florida’s top-rated Zoological Organizations. The popular zoo is located in Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The zoo is home to over 550 animals and over 190 different species. Many of the animals here are endangered and roam through the 23 acres of tropical habit. Most recently the Zoo has welcomed a new Baird’s Tapir Calf, or a Central American Tapir which are native to Mexico, Central America, and northwestern South America. The baby calf was born January 20th.

The “Best Of The Belgians Beer Festival” is coming up this Saturday, February 9th. The event will be held at the indoor South County Civic Center in Delray Beach from 2PM to 6PM and will feature live music and a comfortable, indoor atmosphere. The 4th Annual Barks, Babes, and Bros is happening this Friday at Camelot in West Palm Beach. The event a giant party and celebrity auction to raise funds for injured rescue dogs in South Florida and the coup de grâce is a celebrity dating auction just in time for Valentine’s Day being the week prior. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Family Adventure Day series on Saturday, February 16th from 10 am to 1 pm.

Family Adventure Days are part of the Lighthouse’s new series that is aimed for families and features family activities, sea-inspired and educational events, and adventures about Florida’s history. Next Saturday the event will be featured around Keepers and Life Savers. The day will include arts and crafts, games, story-telling, hands on activities and water and rescue demonstrations.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting a Valentine’s Day themed event on Tuesday, February 12th from 10:30 am to 12 pm. The event is the Valentine Blooms and Bubbly Brunch and will be held in the Quarterdeck Room of the lighthouse.

The brunch will feature an elegant floral arranging brunch with Myra Khan from Alice’s Table. Guest will create their own floral masterpieces and will be able to take it home for the special day. Tools and Flowers will be provided as well as expert instructions for the perfect arrangement.
