For two days, Boynton Beach transforms into the ultimate Haunted Pirate Fest and Mermaid Splash. All are invited to attend the event this Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th.

The fun filled event will feature pirate re-enactments, mermaids, street performers, character appearances from Captain Jack, live mermaid tanks, and live music and entertainment. The popular event is free and open to the public.

There will also be a Hook and Tails Costume Contest for the best pirate and best mermaid costumes, acrobats, interactive pirate ships, children’s shows, treasure hunts and much more.

On the last Friday of each month, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium allows visitors and guests to attend their popular Nights At The Museum event.

The fun filled night is for the whole family and includes extended hours to explore and wonder through the Science Center and Aquarium. Each month is a different theme and since Halloween is at the end of the month, this Friday’s theme is Spooky Science.

The night will include a Liquid Nitrogen Live Science Show, haunted miniature golf and trail, Superhero and Villain Trivia, Dry Ice Boo Bubbles, Oozing Pumpkin demonstrations, challenges, crafts, entertainment, exhibits, and much more. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase throughout the night.

It’s almost that time again for the parade of kids dressed up in the array of costumes looking for candy.If you are passing out goodies, be on the lookout for blue pumpkins or bags this year. This signifies that they are on the Autism spectrum.

 In 2018 the CDC determined that approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or ASD. An estimated one-third of people with autism are non-verbal. 31% of children with ASD have an IQ less than 70, and 25% are in the borderline range of 71-85.  Nearly two-thirds of children with autism between the ages of 6 and 15 have been bullied.

The event is for all Jupiter residents and you are invited to dress up in your Halloween costumes for a night of fun. There will be plenty of fun activities for you to enjoy. Kooky Halloween supports the Teal Pumpkin Project which is a program designed to help children and individuals with food allergies this Halloween.
