Palm Beach County residents will soon find reusable face masks in their mailboxes. Each package, which will be sent out in early July, will have two cloth and two disposable masks.

Palm Beach County residents are required to wear masks in public places in all but a few instances including exemptions for children under 2, people with medical conditions for whom masks can be dangerous, or for religious reasons.

The mask can come off if someone is actively eating at a restaurant, exercising at the gym, physically distanced from others at a park, beach, boat or golf course, but masks must be worn when coming and going from these places or when others are within close proximity.

The Town of Jupiter is thinking of fun and entertaining ways to keep kids thinking and active this summer. The town recently announced their newest program called “Camp in a Box”.

Every month during the summer, the town hosts a summer camp filled with activities and projects that all match that week’s theme. Each week has a different thing and each box includes activities such as cooking projects, socially distinct games, arts and crafts, virtual tours, and much more. Tour counselors will create videos and post them each week for guidance and directions.

At a special meeting Thursday night at City Hall, the City Council unanimously approved a series of upgrades to Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, which is the area’s main 49-acre lifestyle and entertainment complex.

Proposed changes include new murals, landscaping, sculptural seating and swings; a realignment of the entry drive aisle from Alternate A1A; new signage; and the relocation of the complex’s popular carousel from Center Court to the waterfront.

In its place, a new interactive water feature will be installed.

Construction is expected to begin next month on upgrades to the 49-acre lifestyle and entertainment complex, which would include updated architecture and a new spot for the carousel.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, formally known as Downtown at the Gardens is back open and ready for you to come to dine and shop at one of several shops, boutiques, hair salons, movie theater, and restaurants.

The outdoor shopping and lifestyle center underwent a name change in the beginning of the year. In addition to the name change more stores and restaurants will be coming to the Downtown. Currently under construction is the new Lifetime Athletic Center, a resort style fitness center that will feature 3-stories of fitness classes, a rooftop bistro, and a spa.
