Halpatiokee Regional Park in Stuart is a great place to visit if you want to go on a hike, ride bikes or just explore some local nature. Halpatiokee is the largest park in Martin County with 65 acres of active land surrounded by approximately 500 acres of wetland preserve area.

Head to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum on Wednesday nights for the Lighthouse Sunset Tour.

The Lighthouse Sunset Tour includes a climb to the top of the lighthouse tower to see the spectacular sunset views of Jupiter and the surrounding towns. Visitors will also get to see the Jupiter Lighthouse Light turn on and illuminate the sky and get to go inside the lighthouse watchroom to see how everything works.

This February, there are two remaining tours left for this month. The tours last approximately 75 minutes and children are welcomed to attend and must be 48 inches tall to climb the lighthouse tower’s 105 steps with an adult. Every Tuesday and Thursday the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts a fish-feeding program for kids! This free program takes place at the Mangrove exhibit, which displays the habitats of Florida’s coastal ecosystems.

This is a great event for kids looking to learn about local plants and wildlife. Attendants will see a live feeding and listen to a guide explain the marinelife. This hands on event is a great way for kids to experience some of the more interesting aspects of biology and science, there are few things more important in a child’s education than teaching him or her that learning can be fun and interesting. Head to Lake Worth this weekend for the 26th Annual Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival. The festival is the largest of its kind in the country and draws a huge crowd to Lake Worth every year.

The street painting turns the roads into hand drawn artwork and chalk designs. The artwork only last until the next raindrop when it will be washed away. The popular festival features temporary artwork masterpieces.
