Sailfish are biting from Stuart to Boca in the 150-300’ range, with a few boats releasing 10+ sails. Try kite fishing with hearty live baits like goggle-eyes or blue runners. Trolling with small feathers during lowlight should help you catch a few football-sized blackfin tuna, and the smaller ones can be used to catch wahoo, which has been hot due to this mild cold front, especially in the Bahamas. Little Moir’s Food Shack in Jupiter is known for its inspired fresh fish dishes and live music, but this Sunday they’re using their culinary gifts for a greater good.

On Sunday, November 4th from 5-8 pm, Food Shack will be hosting a night with dinner, drinks, live music, a silent auction, and raffles to fundraise for other families who may not be able to afford a large Thanksgiving.

Tickets are $85, and 100% of ticket sales and proceeds will go to Merciful Heavens of Jupiter, Florida. Cuban immigration has greatly influenced South Florida.  Present day Miami, and a lot southeast Florida reflects a rich multicultural hub of various traditions, foods and culture. 

The first wave of immigrants occurred after the Cuban Revolution of 1959 led by Fidel Castro. Many political refugees came with the idea that the new government would not last long, and their stay in the U.S. was temporary. Homes, cars, and other properties in Cuba were left behind until the government fell. Castro promptly stopped this exodus with the confiscation of all properties belonging to anyone leaving the country.

On Sunday, November 4th 2018, over 2,000 veterans and supporters will march in the largest Veterans Day Parade in Palm Beach County.

“Our hometown Veterans Day Parade is a perfect way for the entire community to take a time out and come together to show respect and appreciation for the men and women who have given and continue to give their all to insure the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the United States of America,” said Ron Bailey, Parade Co-Chair & Vietnam Veteran.

The first annual Concorso Ferrari Palm Beach takes place this Saturday on the green of Abacoa Golf Club, where 60 historic, classic, and modern models of these rare Italian sports cars will be on display for the public.

Open to Ferrari Club of America members only, and limited to the first 60 Ferraris registered, this competition of sporty-yet-stunning supercars honors POST, the Pediatric Oncology Support Team headquartered at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

This year, some of the best high-academic baseball players in the country will flock to Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida to showcase their talent in front of more than 70 collegiate recruiters.

From Air Force to Yale, college coaches in attendance will be scouting for promising young baseball players at the only Headfirst Honor Roll Camp in the Southeast area of the United States.

The morning will include offensive and defensive showcases, batting practice, objective measurements, and three live games. The Headfirst Honor Roll team- all of which are either current or former high-academic athletes themselves- will offer insight, guidance, and advice.
