Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa hosts a monthly Food Truck Invasion on Friday nights along Town Center Drive. Food Trucks from all over South Florida line the streets and offer some of their best and authentic dishes.

The Food Truck Invasion happens on the second Friday of every month and is a popular event among the locals. The food trucks offer a variety of food ranging from Italian, Asian, tacos, seafood, pastries, desserts, ice cream, specialty dishes, burgers, and much more.

The Food Truck Invasion is free to attend with food and beverage purchases and there will be a DJ performing all the latest hits at the Abacoa Amphitheater. Bring your own chairs, blankets and even tables to sit out and enjoy the music and food.

The Town of Jupiter is celebrating its 96th year as an incorporated town in the state of Florida. Jupiter is the northernmost town in Palm Beach County and the sunny beachside town is home to more than 65,000 full time residents. The town was incorporated on this day, February 9th, in 1925.

The area where Jupiter now sits was originally named for the Hobe Indian tribe that lived at the mouth of the Loxahatchee River. But mapmakers misunderstood the spelling of the name of Hobe and recorded it at Jove which led to further misunderstanding that led to the name of the Roman God Jupiter.  The god of Jupiter (or Zeus in Greek Mythology) is the chief Roman god, and the god of light, of the sky and weather, and of the state of welfare and laws.

After years of being held in Jupiter, the local favorite ArtiGras Art Festival is back again for another year and this time will be held in Palm Beach Gardens. The annual outdoor art festival has moved this year due to construction happening in Jupiter.

The art festival will be taking over the Gardens North County District Park this upcoming weekend. This year, the festival will be in its 36th year and will feature more than 280 artists both local and national from across the country. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their second annual Hike20 this March and registration is now open. The event gained popularity last year when it was held in January and is now back again for another year.

The hiking event includes a three-day, two night back country event that will be held Friday, March 5th through Sunday, March 7th. Participants will join trail experts form the Florida Trail Association Loxahatchee Chapter and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff biologist. Participants will be guided through some of the most iconic ecosystems of South Florida.
