Whether you’re on a date or with friends, going out in West Palm Beach to watch some stand-up comedy is a great way to spend your night. The Improv is the premier comedy club in West Palm Beach that features the biggest and brightest names in comedy 52 weeks a year.

Grammy Award winners Herb Alpert, the trumpet titan behind Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, and Lani Hall, the former lead singer of Sergio Mendes’ group Brasil ’66, unite in a jazz fusion of festive fare. Last year Alpert released The Christmas Wish, his first holiday album in half a century.

Mr. and Ms. Hall perform medleys of their ’60s hits, along with standards by composers from Irving Berlin to the Beatles, their joie de vivre permeated the room. The discreetly exuberant brand of Brazilian- and Mexican-flavored pop is honest and uplifting. The Hall’s music has been described as Happy music made by happy people, so plan on heading to the Kravis Center this weekend for a great night and even greater music.
