This Friday, December 21st the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Lighthouse Moonrise Tour starting at 4:45 pm. Guests who attend will learn about the history of the Jupiter icon and enjoy evening views of Jupiter and the surrounding towns with a full moon in the sky.

The tour last approximately 75 minutes and tickets are required to attend the event. The cost is $25 dollars per person and $20 dollars for Lighthouse Members. Tickets can be purchase online or by calling 561-747-8380 extension 101. The tours are weather permitting, so check their website for updates. Children must be 48” inches tall to climb the tower’s 105 steps and must be accompanied by an adult.

The 13th Annual Palm Beach Beach Bash is back again for another year. The Bash is presented by the fashion icon Lilly Pulitzer, known for the bright colors and tropical prints and is known to be one of the social highlights of the year.

More than 700 guests are expected to attend this year’s bash at The Beach Club on Palm Beach, the island where Lilly Pulitzer began her iconic brand. After being closed for renovations, one of the oldest libraries around is now back open. The Gioconda and Joseph King Library at The Society of the Four Arts, which also serves as home of the Palm Beach Library, reopened this past week after some restoration work.

The Four Arts King Library offers a collection of over 70,000 publications, periodicals, DVDs, and other media. While it serves as the town library for Palm Beach, the library welcomes people who don't live on the island through a variety of membership programs. The library offers book discussion groups several times a month along with other events and programs.

 West Palm Beach has continued the tradition of their annual Holiday in Paradise event that features the famous Sandi the Christmas Tree made entirely of sand. Sandi the tree is the world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton sand tree with hundreds of lights and sculptures carved into the sand. The South Florida tradition stands in the center of Sandi Land.

Sandi the tree, will be on display in near the water downtown at Flagler Park and will have a nightly light display until December 31st. The tree was lit and kicked off the holiday season during the weekly Clematis by Night Tree Lighting on November 29th.

The themes for this year’s Sandi Tree is Merry the Mermaid and will feature tropical tree carvings and a fun filled tropical scene during the holidays.
