As one of South Florida’s most natural thrills, it is always amazing to most that some 3,000 enormous sea turtles still lumber onto South Florida’s beaches at night to lay their eggs.  
Every summer, March through October, our pristine beaches are decorated with neon colored tape and signs to show where these ancient creatures have buried their nest.

Under the pale light the moon shines onto the beaches, turtle nesting season is such an awe-inspiring scene to watch. As the sea turtles wade their way up to the beach to dig holes in the sand and lay their eggs to then disappear back into the deep blue.

A very special and very colorful art installation is making its way to the Waterfront in Downtown West Palm Beach. “The Pool” by artist Jen Lewin is a gorgeous, interactive art installation that has made its way around the nation and will now be right here in sunny, South Florida for a few months. West Palm Beach Waterfront is calling the summer activity “A Summer in Paradise.”

The Pool is comprised of glowing, concentric circles that are supposed to be stepped on. Lewin’s idea is for people to come and play on the installation, which will change colors as you step on the different circles. That way everyone can make their own art depending on how you step on them. It is an ever evolving art piece.

Coming to the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds this weekend is the Palm Beach Summer Boat Show. The show offers over 100,000 square feet of expo space filled to the brim with boats to look at.

Feast your eyes on an elaborate array of power boats up to 40 feet, ranging from center consoles walk arounds, cruisers, pontoon boats, deck boats, bass and bay boats. The Gardens Mall is partnering up with the Palm Beach County Food Bank to host The Third Annual CANstruction Sculpture Competition to eliminate deprivation and starvation in Palm Beach County.

Based on this year’s theme, “CANnes International Film Festival” the crews that are partaking and challenging in this competition are indigenous contractors, builders and architects that are collecting canned and packaged food items to form gargantuan art monuments in the Garden’s Mall courtyard. 4 Mile Race & 1 Mile Kid’s Run

South Florida is portraying beaming sunrays and a nice ocean breeze that sprays mists when waves crash, makes a morning run a quite enjoyable one in Juno Beach, Florida.
Along the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and A1A, Loggerhead Marinelife Center will be holding its 4th Annual ‘Run 4 the Sea’ event led on Saturday, June 20th, 2015. At The Hobe Sound Nature Center in Hobe Sound, Florida, the non-profit association is devoted to ecological attentiveness and educating others.  The center offers plenty of workshops, camps and turtle walks all including tons of educational opportunities to benefit from.
