LPGA Golfer Makes Prom Special for One Lucky Student

LPGA pro Belen Mozo turned one Knoxville, Tennessee student’s prom into a night he will never forget. The Jupiter resident accompanied Alex Notte to his senior prom at Beardon High School in the Knoxville area last Saturday night.

Notte has a neuro developmental disability and invited Mozo to his prom through a youtube video that was posted to Mozo’s facebook page with the help of his sister.

Mozo, a member at the Medalist Club in Hobe Sound, attended a charity golf event benefiting the Special Olympics as Alex’s club in Knoxville before attending the prom in a 1959 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud.

Fox Club in Palm City to Host Charity Golf Event

The eighth annual Golf for Wildlife golf tournament will be held at The Fox Club in Palm City on Friday, May 24. The event, hosted by the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center is among the most exclusive tournaments in the area.

The tournament will be hosted by long time supporter Glen Hess and the Vicki Hess Foundation and will benefit the wildlife center's misson to rehabilitate and return sick and injured wild animals to their natural environment.

The Treausre Coast Wildlife Center treats thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals each year and serves Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach Counties. Stacy Lewis To Be Honored In New Jersey

When Stacy Lewis returns to New Jersey later this month for the LPGA ShopRite Classic, she will be returning as more than just the defending champion. She will be coming back as a hero.

The number 2 women's golfer in the world and Palm Beach Gardens resident donated $20,000 in November as a result of the destruction from Superstorm Sandy. Lewis remembers seeing all the destruction on TV from Japan where she was competing in a tournament.

They cannot get enough of our natural, undisturbed beaches and neither can we!  Its sea turtle season and one of the most exciting times of the year for sea turtle lovers.  Every year thousands of sea turtle dig nests on John D. MacArthur Beach State Park in North Palm Beach, making it one of the highest density nesting beaches in Florida.

Adam Scott Wins First Major Championship

An Australian golfer had never won the Masters. That was until this past weekend, when Adam Scott ended two streaks. Scott won his first major championship in his 48th attempt and brought his native country of Australia its first ever green jacket.

Scott wins in Playoff- Scott defeated Angel Cabrera in the second playoff hole on Sunday to get that first major championship that had seem to escape him over the past few years. After both Scott and Cabrera pared the first playoff hole, the moved to the 10th hole for the second. The Medalist Golf Club will be hosting the 2013 Hanley Center Golf Classic on Monday, April 15. The Hanley Center Golf Classic is one of only a select number of tournaments that are held at Medalist Golf Club.

The Hanley Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive nonprofit addiction treatment centers in the country. They focus on a 12-step recovery program with a powerful clinical component. Legendary Golf Designer Pete Dye To Speak at PGA Village

Legendary golf designer Pete Dye and his wife Alice will be speaking at the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie. The two will take part in the PGA Speaker Series on April 10th, which is also the 97th anniversary of the PGA of America.

Pete Dye has designed some of the top courses in the area including Loblolly and Medalist in Hobe Sound and Old Marsh in Palm Beach Gadens.
