Weather this weekend in South Florida is predicted to be a nice forecast and should make for a great fishing weekend! There will be a light east/northeast wind, known to help push in the dolphin a bit closer to shore, but lately dolphin have been found from 8 to 15 miles offshore in South Florida.

There has been a lot of patches of grass and formed weed lines offshore, which is the usual dolphin trolling spread around these floating debris. However, just in case you do stumble upon a tripletail floating with the weeds, while you’re searching for the colorful dolphin, keep some cut up bait ready to throw, it will surely be picked up and gather some excitement on your trolling adventure.

There has been a mixed bag of kingfish, Bonita’s and even some…

Imagine floating 800 feet above the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the fun and exhilarating adventure of parasailing. Parasailing is a recreational sporting activity unlike anything you’ve ever tried and it’s a staple for locals and tourists alike to try when in Florida. Give yourself the chance to see the Floridian beaches and ocean from new heights.

A special parachute glides a rider, in their harness, up in the air while being pulled behind a motorboat over the ocean. It might seem a little intimidating to the first time parasailer but it a smooth and comfortable ride. The rider is then gently lowered down after completion of the parasail adventure. As you have heard before, “it is not the amount of breaths you take, it is the moments…

Green Sea Turtles were the highlight of conversation this year as researchers weren't positive as to what to anticipate.

Nesting patterns are unpredictable and alternate between year to year from lows to high years. Those South Florida…

As one of South Florida’s most natural thrills, it is always amazing to most that some 3,000 enormous sea turtles still lumber onto South Florida’s beaches at night to lay their eggs.
Every summer, March through October, our pristine beaches are decorated with neon colored tape and signs to show where these ancient creatures have buried their nest.

Under the pale light the moon shines onto the beaches, turtle nesting season is such an awe-inspiring scene to watch. As the sea turtles wade their way up to the beach to dig holes in the sand and lay their eggs to then disappear back into the deep blue.

May is here and bringing in the heat along with warmer water temperatures!

Offshore- The big bite happening offshore this week in South Florida is definitely kingfish, averaging in at 30-50 pounds. In the range of 100-200 ft. of water, the best bait to use if you are trying to target these silver kings are live goggle eyes or sardines. However, if you prefer trolling the offshore waters, break out your downriggers and run a split tail mullet or artificial ribbonfish to attract the fish’s attention.
Dolphin and Wahoo are in a little deeper of 200-350 ft. of water and anglers may have to work a little harder to find these fish at these depths and some reports say dolphin are in much deeper as 800-1200 ft.  Mix up your bait spread a bit with natural and…

There will be nice weather in the forecast just in time for the weekend. Get excited to take a trip offshore this weekend as those that put in time and cover some water will have the best luck!

OFFSHORE- “The best action offshore right now is (for the most part) inside of 200' of water from Palm Beach to Jupiter Inlet.  The kingfish showed up in big numbers this week (as did the commercial fishing fleet) off of Jupiter Inlet.  Drifting live sardines and threadfin herring is the ticket for catching the kings right now, but in a pinch or as a backup a dead sardine on a knocker rig will usually get the job done.” As you are drifting offshore, there could be some late season sail fish and potential to hook up on blackfin tuna. Mutton snappers and cobia may…

Fishing Outlook 4.17.15

OFFSHORE: The South Florida fishing action out deep has been a bit scattered far offshore. Closer in, is where you will find the best fishing action for the springtime. The sailfish bite seemed to slow down a bit due to the lack of current and greener waters. That could change any day as the current changes. The Cobia bite is really good in areas of the sand pile. Lots of fish around South Florida, especially near shallower wrecks in the 70’-90’ foot range. Live baits work outstanding such as crabs, pilchards, pinfish, mullet and shrimp.  On the deep side of the Juno Beach, Florida 180' ledge where is a mixed bag of fish and rudder fish and blue runners have tackled the area. Dolphin are caught and scattered among the frigate birds…

New Movie Theater in Jupiter

The Shoppes of Jupiter, across from the fabulous Harbourside Place, has finally set an inaugural date for the brand new Cinépolis Cinémas in the summer, which was previously known as Paragon Jupiter Cinéma, located on US 1 in Jupiter, Florida.

The new Cinépolis Cinémas is planning on being fully functional and opened by June 2015. The brand new movie theater will consist of about 1,460 available seats and will be having two distinctive concepts for customers to choose from. One concept is going to be offering eight chic but still traditional customary auditoriums with non –reclining leather seats that will be wider than the old-fashioned movie seats. The other notion will feature six “luxury” auditoriums which are planned to have 360 seats that…
