The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting a sunset tour on November 2st, 2018 at 5:00 pm. There’s no view quite like a Jupiter sunset from the top of the lighthouse, and participants get to witness the original light turning on to illuminate the night sky as well as an inside look at the interworkings of the lighthouse watchroom.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is one of the best Christmas events around for families across the country. Thankfully this year the Orchestra will be visiting South Florida at the BB&T Center. If you live in Palm Beach the BB&T center is about an hour drive so and the shows start at 8 pm, so if you’re thinking about going, you should plan just go ahead and plan on spending the entire evening in the Fort Lauderdale are with your family. Don’t worry, there are plenty of great places to eat in Fort Lauderdale before the show.

Although the show is on December 14, the tickets for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra almost always sell out, so make sure to buy yours soon!

The Florida “cold snap” this weekend has lows in the 60’s rolling through, producing ideal conditions for sailfish cruising through. Kitefish with goggle eyes in 120-250’ of water, and after your first sail, target a tighter area around that depth. A few dolphin are still in the equation off Palm Beach Inlet, but no strong numbers seem to be showing up.

The snapper bite has been solid lately, with large muttons and yellowtail congregating on the reef. Live ballyhoo, sardines, or midsized pinfish work great.

Inshore fishing has slowed down quite a bit, with Snook and redfish becoming finicky to the tide. You’ll have to feel out each spot for what tide works best, and keep a close eye on it once you figure it out.

The Burt Reynolds Institute will honor South Florida veterans with the production of as play by Avery Sommers called “Shell of a Man” which will be showing today and tomorrow (November 16-17). The show begins at 7 pm. Shell of a Man is based on the life of an actual Vietnam veteran and focuses on the effects of his 45-plus year battle with PTSD.
