In support of World Oceans Day Waterfront Properties would like to promote the free resources and ideas of the Youth Advisory Council. Whether you live here in Jupiter, FL or around the globe, please help promote June 8th and help our wonderful oceans all year long.
The theme for 2016 is “Healthy Oceans, Healthy Planet”. Organizations and Individuals around the world are asked to help prevent the pollution of plastics in our ocean. If we all just helped a little, it would go a long way.

Sea Turtles Make Appearance on Jupiter’s Beaches Over Weekend

This time of year is sea turtle nesting season in Florida. The majestic sea turtles make their way out of the ocean and onto shore to lay their eggs. During the summer months, Jupiter becomes a safe haven for nesting turtles that have been coming to lay their eggs on these beaches for hundreds of years. 

The town makes a great effort to change all of the beach road lighting to an ambient red color that will not disturb the turtles and prevent them from coming ashore to nest. The traffic lights get a special filter that makes the light only noticeable to cars driving along the road and the correct angle and of course there are strict rules observers must follow when it comes to watching the turtles nest. Food Truck Invasion “Family Nights” at Carlin Park

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month the adored Food Truck Invasion takes over Carlin Park in Jupiter with “Family Nights.” Bring your family and friends to Food Truck Invasion’s Family Night tomorrow, May 25th at 5:00pm.

UPDATE: Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter NOT To Close for 7 Months

Weeks ago, the town announced it would be closing the beloved and highly trafficked Burt Reynolds Park West in Jupiter to add some new improvements. The plan was to close the park fro June 1 to December 31. But after an outpouring of concern from local boaters and fishermen in regard to the success of their business and leisure surrounding the world of boating, the town delayed the improvements. 

There has not been a new release of when the park will be closed for construction yet, but fear not local boaters, it will not happen this summer.

The plans for the new park call for adding two-dozen parking spaces large enough to fit a vehicle and boat trailer and to reduce the number of spaces for vehicles without trailers.…

OPENING THIS WEEKEND: Life Sized Shark Replicas at the Loxahatchee River Center

For a limited time at the Loxahatchee River Center in Jupiter are several life-sized replicas of some of the native sharks that live in our Floridian waters. 

This special exhibit-taking place at the center features a life-sized replica of an 8-foot bull shark, a lemon shark and a nurse shark that you can get up close and personal with. Also, on display at the Loxahatchee River Center are a beautiful series of photos of sea turtles, sharks, dolphins and a variety of other native marine creatures. Each year, over 25,000 visitors make their way to the Loxahatchee River center to learn about our local ecosystems and their plants and animals.
