 The husband-and-wife team behind the popular Yakitori Sake House in Boca Raton have opened a much bigger restaurant just a few miles away. Tina Wang and Jason Zheng held the grand opening for Saiko-i Sushi Lounge & Hibachi in late 2018.

Saiko-I is located in The Shoppes at Village Pointe  and comes with very reputable history.  The corner location was home to the very popular Gatsby’s Bar for more than 20 years. Now Jason and Tina are making their own history at Saiko-i.  This over 7,000 square foot space has 11 Hibachi tables, a sushi lounge, seafood bar, indoor/outdoor bar and quaint patio! It’s the final week for the South Florida Fair in Palm Beach County before moving up to Martin County for the Martin County Fair starting February 8th.

The Martin County Fair Association is the single largest fair and event held in Martin County. Construction has been ongoing at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts since May 2018. The popular West Palm Beach theater is in the middle of a $50 million-dollar renovation expected to be completed in 2020. The expansion project is part of their “Kravis 2020: The Future is Now” vision which plans to improve the audience experience without adding more theater seats.

The 22-month renovation plans call for to enlarge the front lobby to allow for more guests, update the front garden area for a larger pedestrian plaza facing Okeechobee Boulevard, and to change the traffic patterns to and around the venue. Every day of the week, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts Public Daily Tours of their Sea Turtle Facility. Visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the sea turtles and fish houses in the research and rehabilitation center.

The Marinelife Center’s tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend to see how the center operates. The tours last approximately an hour and are led by the educational experts and the staff of the center to answers all of your questions.

The tours cost $10 for adults and $5 dollars for children under 8 years old. Those who wish to attend can register online or at the Guest Service Desk in the main lobby. The tours are limited to 15 people per tour due to the amount of space.
