Gather your running shoes and join in on the 2019 Race of Hope 5 K race. The run aims to raise money and awareness for Depression research. The 3.1-mile race will take place this Sunday, January 27th, starting at 8 am.

The race route will start at the Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach and will travel along the North Lake Trail, the waterfront and the streets of Palm Beach. The family-focused event aims to be both inspiring and fun for all.

All of the proceeds from the race will be directly donated to brain research that will help transform the way depressions is treated, diagnosed, viewed and prevented. The Town of Jupiter’s beautiful Abacoa Community is home to a brand new 18-hole miniature golf course. The Golden Cub Mini Golf, located in the heart of Abacoa’s Town Center, 1145 Main Street Jupiter has a huge heart.  

Golden Cub Mini Golf has partnered with the Jack Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and together they will proudly donate a dollar from every full price round of mini golf to the foundation. The Jupiter Jubilee is back for another year and is happening on Saturday, February 2nd. Due to the construction occurring at Jupiter’s Town Hall Municipal Complex, the Jubilee will be now taking place at the Abacoa Community Park. The event is put on by the Town of Jupiter for the area’s residents.

Polo is a game played between two teams on horseback who use mallets to drive a wooden ball down the field to score against the opposing team. Polo is the oldest equestrian sport and is played in Wellington. The sport came to the United States in the 1950’s and the first polo club opened in 1954 in Palm Beach, nearby where the airport is today.

Sunday night, January 20th, the moon will turn red over the United States during the last total lunar eclipse of the decade. A total lunar eclipse happens during a full moon when the moon completely passes through the Earth’s shadow. This causes the moon to turn a dark red or a rusty orange color.

The “Super Blood Wolf Moon” lunar eclipse will be visible across all of South America, North America and parts of Africa and Europe, this Sunday night into the early hours of Monday morning. This eclipse will be the first time since 2010, the entire United States will be able to see it.
