It's that time of year again, where the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach transform into a carnival and fair for 17 days.

Gather the family and head to the South Florida Fair starting this Friday, January 12th through Sunday, January 28th. Since the fair started in 1912, each January, over a half a million visitors head to the South Florida Fair for all the fun.

Scattered around Palm Beach County are upcoming outdoor concerts to sit back and enjoy.

Concerts in the Court:

Every Friday night, the Downtown at the Gardens hosts its free weekly concert series. The concerts feature regional and local bands playing everything from country, to rock, pop, and everything in between. The concerts are in the Centre Court of the Palm Beach Gardens outdoor shopping mall, and will start at 6 pm until 9 pm.

The first concert is this Friday, January 5th and The Samantha Russel Band will be performing songs from country, Southern Rock, pop tunes, and original hits. If you can’t make this outdoor concert, there will be more throughout the month for you to attend. The outdoor concert series runs every Friday until the end of April.

The popular French baker, Loic Autret, and his wife Pauline, just opened “Loic” in downtown West Palm Beach.

The bakery/bar/café is super stylish with 22-foot ceilings, smoked mirrors, floor-ceiling windows, and marble-topped high tops. Their whole menu- sandwiches, salads, artisanal breads, cheese platters, croissants, and tarts- is homemade from scratch.

Loic is a chef known for his pastries and his story. After serving in the French military as a paratrooper and minesweeping in Iraq and Cambodia, he decided to take up baking after getting injured.
