The Schoolhouse Children’s Museum and Learning Center, located in Boynton Beach, brings old Florida History to life.  There are so many schools sprinkled around our area that it is hard to believe that at one time all the children in the area attending the same school.  Children dress and reenact pioneer days in South Florida.

What stands today, as the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum and Learning Center was a one-room schoolhouse. In 1913, the one room schoolhouse was replaced with a new “modern” building with six rooms and indoor plumbing!

The Boynton Beach School was added to the National Register of Historic Places. By 2001, the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum and Learning Center opened. Their mission statement “strives to engage young children…

There is something for everyone at the Florida Oceanographic Society, from young to “young at heart”.  Take a scenic ride from the Jupiter area to Hutchison Island in Stuart, FL and see the 57-acre nature center.  The nature center is positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River.

This year at the Martin County Fair the Florida Oceanographic Society presented hands-on demonstrations with sharks, stingrays, turtles, oysters and more.   If you did not have an opportunity to get out seeing the exhibit at the Martin County Fair visit the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center and feed the resident stingrays, explore the “touch tank” and closely observe a feeding frenzy in the 750,000 gallon “Gamefish Lagoon”.

This nonprofit organization…

The National Sporting Federation defines sporting clays as “a challenging clay target game designed to simulate a variety of field shooting situations. On sporting clays course shooters are presented with a wide variety of targets that duplicate the flight path of birds, such as flushing, crossing, incoming and other angling shots.”

South Florida Shooting Club is one of the best shooting clubs in South Florida.  Only a forty-five minute drive…
