Exciting for both participants and spectators alike, dragon boat racing is one of the fastest growing aquatic sports in the world. In Tequesta, a co-ed team who call themselves Blazing Paddles welcomes memebers of all ages and walks of life to come try the fun sport for free.

The team urges that even though they’ve won numerous honors including a world record, most members have joined with zero paddling experience, and no equipment or experience is necessary to get started.

We have a little cold front coming through South Florida. Some may think that's a good excuse for skipping the gym. But working out in the cold, jogging and (if you can bear it) swimming, is actually very good for you and studies have shown that being outside in cold weather can transform white fat, specifically belly and thigh fat, into calorie-burning beige or brown fat. Brown fat's purpose is to burn calories to generate heat. Brown fat is often referred to as the "good" fat because it helps to burn rather than store calories.

So, if you live in South Florida, don’t hibernate in the cold, get outside and exercise!

This Saturday, November 17th, ESPN West Palm will be hosting their annual charity softball games at Roger Dean Stadium in Abacoa. Benefiting FAU’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FAU CARD), families are welcome to enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, autograph signing, a petting zoo, games, face painting, and bounce houses from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first softball game, FirstService Residential vs. Entrusted, will start at 10:30 a.m.

The second game will start at noon, with the winner of the first game playing John C. Cassidy Air Conditioning.

The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is anticipating 12 straight weeks of top equestrian competition beginning in January 2019. A competition sanctioned by the Fédération Equestre International (FEI), the highest level of jumping competitions in the sport, the Winter Equestrian Festival will run from January 9th through March 31st alongside top-rated hunter and equitation competition for many of the best riders in the world.
