Zumba in the Park is an ongoing event that is happening throughout the entire month of February. Every night at the Officer Bruce St. Laurent Park on Military Trail in Jupiter, a free Zumba class is taught for all who wish to attend.

Zumba has become a growing trend in the fitness world and was created by a Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez in the 1990s. Zumba is a fitness program that involves movements and combines Latin American and international music with dance moves to get the ultimate workout. Zumba incorporates interval training by alternating slow and fast movements and resistance training. It’s a total workout that combines all elements of fitness into one, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and cardio.

The Honda Classic is just a few weeks away from being back in Palm Beach County and this year, attendees will get a better view of the action.

The tournament has added more than 20,000 square feet of expended hospitality spots and viewing venues. The 17th green is now closer to the water and the hole has been shortened to add more room the Bear Trap and Cobra Puma Village that surround the area. The Skysuites at the 17th have been expanded by 10,000 feet for more spectators. For the first time, the entire 17th hole will be enclosed by hospitality spots and seating.

February is the month for love and romance as well as one of the busiest times for tourism in South East Florida. It's understandable since the average daily temperature reaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit and it is a popular destination for a break from the blistering cold up north. Many visitors fall in love with the area and ultimately buy a home.

February can be the toughest of winter months in the Northern United States to cope with the elements. The 2019 Palm Beach Masters is the ultimate horse show and features three events between January and March. The Master series features international show jumping combined with a social scene to bring the horse shows to the next level. The three events take place at the Deeridge Farms in Wellington.

This year, the series has added another new event, called the Nations Cup which includes eight nations competing against each other, similar to the Olympic Games format.

The new United States Polo Association Clubhouse was opened January 26 for the 2019 equestrian season with rave reviews. The clubhouse, located at 3667 120th Avenue South, Wellington is a unique experience for their clothing brands to be showcased. For the past eight months, the North Palm Beach Country Club’s golf course has under gone renovations and recently reopened its municipal course to the public. The golf course is located within a couple miles of some of the world’s best.

Construction on the course began in May of 2018 and was a major part of a project conducted by the Village of North Palm Beach. In addition to a redesign of the golf course, the project also calls for a new clubhouse which is scheduled to open later this year.

Gather your running shoes and join in on the 2019 Race of Hope 5 K race. The run aims to raise money and awareness for Depression research. The 3.1-mile race will take place this Sunday, January 27th, starting at 8 am.

Polo is a game played between two teams on horseback who use mallets to drive a wooden ball down the field to score against the opposing team. Polo is the oldest equestrian sport and is played in Wellington. The sport came to the United States in the 1950’s and the first polo club opened in 1954 in Palm Beach, nearby where the airport is today.

Today, Wellington is known for all things equestrian and is known as the Equestrian Capital of the World.
