CityPlace Getting A New Name

The entertainment, lifestyle and shopping center is getting a new name. CityPlace will now be known as Rosemary Square.

According to a recent press release, CityPlace is set to undergo a five-year, $550 million dollars renovation that will transform CityPlace from the retail and entertainment center to a vibrant destination and community center.

The new 72-acre Rosemary Square will offer more retail, new hotel, more art and cultural programs and more residences. Over the weekend, the new main street area was debuted and is now on display on Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Blvd and Hibiscus street.

The new main street will feature wider and curb less sidewalks, new landscaping and much more. The renovations will completely transform CityPlace as we know of it today.

Over the next five years, Rosemary Square will add a 300,000 square foot office building with construction starting this summer, a 21-story mixed use tower to include residences and commercial space, water pavilion, a luxury hotel adjacent to the Hilton West Palm Beach, more greenspace, outdoor public venues, and much more.

New retail and restaurants coming to center and will open sometime this year include Sur La Table, True Food Kitchen, High Dive Seafood Restaurant, The Shack by Fields of Greens, and the Barrio Sangria Bar.

CityPlace opened in West Palm Beach in 2000 and has been a popular retail and restaurant destination for the past years.
