The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium mixes science with miniature golfing in their 18-hole Conservation Course. The 18-hole course has been on the Travel Channel’s list of the “13 of the Best Mini Golf Courses Across the Country”. The Conversation Course is just one of two mini golf courses in Florida to make the list, the other course is Walt Disney World’s Winter Summerland.

The mission of the Science Center is to “open every mind to science” and the Conservation Course does that by educating the guests about Florida’s natural habitats, especially the Everglades. Each golf course hole is named for the animals and plants indigenous to South Florida.

Every winter the PGA Tour tournament, The Honda Classic is played at the PGA National Resort and Spa. The 2019 Gardens Cup Golf Tournament is back again for another year. The city of Palm Beach Gardens and the SPIRIT Team invite everyone to join in on the fun on Saturday, June 1st.

The golf tournament is a fun fundraiser for all level golfers. The SPIRIT Team is a volunteer-based committee operated by the Palm Beach Gardens City employees. The team strides to increase employee engagement and boost morale through teamwork and involvement.

The golf tournament format is a two-person scramble at the Sandhill Cranes Golf Club on Northlake Boulevard. The cost to join is $250 dollars per team and the tournament starts at 8:30 am. Click here to register online.

Sure, the scoreboard would show a T Woods every week. There would even be a guy out there wearing a red polo and black pants on Sunday. It wasn't Tiger Woods though. At least not the Tiger Woods that golf fans watched dominate the sport for over a decade from 1997 to 2008.

For the past twelve years, The Honda Classic Golf Tournament has been played at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. The popular golf tournament was founded 47 years ago in 1972 and has been held in Palm Beach County since 2003. The prior location of the tournament before PGA National was Mirasol Country Club from 2003 until 2006.

The PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home of the Honda Classic since 2007. The golf club consists of five elegant and challenging courses each with a total of 18 holes.
