On the third Saturday of every month, a group of Blue Friends and Lynne Wells join together for a beach clean-up in Juno Beach.

The clean up begins at 8:30 am this Saturday and following the 1 hour clean up a light breakfast will be provided by Whole Foods in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. Free coffee will be provided by Oceana Coffee.

The local beach cleanup started years ago when a group of volunteers gathered to pick up trash from the beach. Now the clean up has grown and over 200 volunteers come together several times a month to help keep our beaches and ocean clean from trash. More than 490 pounds are collected from our local beaches every month.

If you plan on attending, you are asked to wear long sleeves, closed toed shoes and bring a bucket and gloves to help gather the trash.

Please RSVP to Lynn at bluefriends@marinelife.com. For more information, visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s website.
