Jonathan Dickinson's Annual Social Fundraiser
This Saturday, January 12th come and support your local park and the education center for the Jonathan Dickinson Social Fundraiser.
The Elsa Kimbell Center located at the park sees thousands of students and visitors each year and now the center needs to be updated. The Center educates visitors on the unique history of the state park and its 15 diverse natural communities. The center is now in its 12th year and needs to be updated to keep up with the times and the educational programs.
The social fundraising event will take place on Saturday starting at 4:30 pm with pre-event activities which includes a casual bike ride or walk along the trails. The fundraising even starts at 5:30 pm to 9 pm featuring food, nighttime yard games, campfires, smores, music and family fun. This even is a family friendly even and tickets are required to attend. All adults who purchase a ticket will have a change to win a free price at the drawing. The prize is a night at the Jupiter Beach Resort, two free park memberships and more.
Tickets can be purchase online and are 45 dollars for children ages 3 to 12, $10 dollars for adult members and $15 dollars for a non-member ticket. Children under 3 years of age are free. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is located at 16450 Se Federal Highway in Hobe Sound. The event will take place at the Kitching Creek Pavilion inside the park.
