CATO’S BRIDGE BEACH

Cato’s Beach Bridge, as the locals know it, is a sandy white shoreline, near the Jupiter Lighthouse, and just north of the bridge, is quite possibly one of the most outstanding natural areas in the state.  Located along the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway and south of the Jupiter Inlet Bridge, this “swimming hole” stays crystal clear all day!

Can you eat lionfish? This topic has been coming up frequently in South Florida since our waters are filled with the invasive lionfish species. The surprising answer is yes, society does consume lionfish and they are very enjoyable! Eating a non-native lionfish is great for numerous reasons.

It is a great seafood choice because by eliminating the non–native lionfish species helps save our beautiful reefs and the native fish can improve from the environmental burdens. TOWN of JUPITER...WATER UTILITIES SERVICE NOTICE

Effective October 27, 2014 tap water for Jupiter Utilities customers might have a slight chlorine perception for four weeks.  The Town of Jupiter Utility Department states they are “committed to maintaining its established role in the industry as a standard of excellence with a commitment to a sustainable community in concert with our unique environment” and in doing so, chlorine will be used without ammonia to maintain water quality.  This temporary change in the treatment process is a standard industry practice performed in accordance with State and Federal drinking water regulations.

The Town of Jupiter water utility treatment facility is capable of producing 30 million gallons of “ultra-pure” drinking water a day.   This water treatment system…

View the New Harbourside Place in 360°

The newest addition to Jupiter’s gorgeous waterfront community is Harbourside Place and the Grand Opening will be in December 2014. So far, the only active spot to dine is BRAVO! Italian Cucina, a polished casual restaurant and is now open to the public.
 
Harbourside Place will be consisted of seven restaurants, more than ten luxury shops and boutiques which are all finely modified to suit the tastes of all, and Waterfront Wyndham Grand Jupiter hotel consisting of 179 rooms which offers vacationers and business travelers a mix of relaxation, sophistication and fresh appeal.

HIKE THROUGH HISTORY

Today marks the anniversary date of the original listing of The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse located in Jupiter, Florida.

The National Register of Historic Places added it in October 15, 1973. Since the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is very worthy of safeguarding, it became part of the national program to manage and upkeep public and also reserved efforts to classify, assess, and guard America’s historic resources.
