Kravis Center Announces Its 2019 "Kravis On Broadway" Series
The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach has announced its upcoming “Kravis on Broadway” series for 2019.
Fiddler on the Roof: Is coming to the Kravis Center November 12th through November 17th. Fiddler on the Roof has won 9 out of the 10 Tony Awards since beginning its Broadway run. The musical is set in 1905 and tells the heartwarming story of Tevye and his daughters through the settlement of Imperial Russia. The musical features hits such as “Matchmaker”, “If I Were a Rich Man”, and “Sunrise, Sunset”.
The Play That Goes Wrong: Is coming to the Kravis Center December 10th through December 15th. The play was both a Broadway and London’s award-winning comedy. The play has been known as the funniest thing they have ever seen. The play is about a murder mystery that is full of drama, mishaps, and a lot of comedy.
A Bronx Tale: Is coming to the Kravis Center January 7th through January 12th, 2020. The musical was a Broadway hit and takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s. The musical follows a young man who is caught between his father and the mob boss he would love to become. The musical features dance numbers and original songs from Alan Menken, the songwriter from Beauty and the Beast.
Hamilton: Is coming to the Kravis Center January 28th through February 16th, 2020. The Broadway musical has won several Tony Awards and is still one of the hottest tickets to score. Hamilton is the story of one of America’s Founding Father’s Alexander Hamilton who became George Washington’s right hand during the Revolutionary War. The musical features a blend of hip-hop, jazz, blues, R&B, Broadway and rap.
Miss Saigon: Is coming to the Kravis Center next March 3rd through March 8, 2020. This legendary musical is from the same creators who produced Les Misérables. The story is about a young Vietnamese women names Kim who becomes orphaned by the war and is forced to work in a bar. In the bar she meets an American G.I. named Chris and the two are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. Kim goes on an epic 3-year journey to find him after the war.
Come From Away: Is coming to the Kravis Center next March 31st through April 5th, 2020. The musical has won Best Musical around the country. The remarkable story is about 7,000 passengers that became stranded in a small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them on September 11, 2001. The culture clashed and friendships grew in this musical.
Summer: Is coming to the Kravis Center next April 28th through May 3rd, 2020. The musical is about Donna Summer, a young woman from Boston who went onto become a musical sensation. The story goes through the risks and challenged she faced along her journey and features some of her classic hits such as “Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff”.
