Monday's At The Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Every Monday the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts weekly events for all ages. The sea turtle research and rehabilitation center is one of Florida’s most unique non-profit destinations that focuses on ocean conservation and sea turtles. Every day the center hosts events for all ages to help educate the public.
This Monday, April 15th, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting three reoccurring events.
Living Beaches: 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Living Beaches is an hour-long program that will discuss the many sea creatures and Marinelife of Florida’s coastal ecosystems and their journeys along the way. These eco tour provide guest with a hands-on experience that aims to create a lasting impression on the environment and the steps to protect it. The cost is free, and the class is aimed for those 12 years old and older. For more information, click here.
Public Guided Tours: 2 pm to 3 pm
The Marinelife Center hosts Public Guided Tours seven days a week. The hour-long tour goes through the entire center and you get to see the fish in the tanks and even the sea turtle patients in their hospital. The tours are led by a staff member who will answer all of your questions regarding the center, research, sea turtles and much more. Space is limited to 15 guests due to space and the tours cost $ 10 dollars for adults and $ 5 dollars for children. Click here to register.
Jr. Vet Lab: 3:30 pm to 4 pm
The Junior Veterinarian Lab is aimed for children who are aspiring to be veterinarians. The program accommodates up to 10 children in their 30 minutes program that educates children on the process of sea turtle rescue and release. The center’s vets will be on hand with replica sea turtles to teach and explain the common injuries and illnesses that affect these animals. The cost is free to attend and is recommended for children ages 6 to 12 years old. For more information and to register, click here.
