The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is pleased to announce the return of its MOSAIC (Month of Shows, Art, Ideas and Culture) May celebration. It promotes the Palm Beach County area’s arts and culture institutions.  Many of these art and culture organizations are offering unique programming and special offers throughout this month of May. One of the fun events brought by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County MOSAIC is its “Shades of Culture” in Boca Raton.

The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County has affected fun in an interactive way for the public to engage with MOSAIC. In Downtown Boca Raton, its “Shades of Culture” are on display in Sanborn Square.  Sanborn Square is Boca Raton’s downtown’s central green space. The larger-than-life pair of signature aqua sunglasses, inspired by the green palms and blue sea, encourages the public to welcome and see art through a unique lens.

The aqua sunglasses measure 8 feet by 20 feet, making an impact on visitors and passersby. “Shades of Culture” makes appearances at dozens of destinations across Palm Beach County, inviting communities to embrace art and culture.

The shades will be on display through June 8, 2021 for the community to enjoy and take photos and selfies. In addition, participating businesses also have “Selfie Spots'' on-site for a unique way to engage on social media. The “Selfie Spots” feature the same “Shades of Culture” in a fun photo form and take photos and selfies to share on social media with the hashtag #palmbeachculture.
