Palm Beach International Airport On The Top 10 List
The Palm Beach International Airport has been named one of the Top Airports in the Country, thanks to the travelers and readers of Travel + Leisure article. Every year, the travel magazine conducts a survey of some of the World’s Best and the airport in West Palm Beach has landed a spot in the Top 10 for another year.
The Palm Beach International Airport is just one of two airports in Florida that has made the list. The other airport is Tampa International Airport which ranked number 5 on the list. In the survey, the airports were ranked based on access, Check-In, Security, shopping, food options, and layout.
The airport first opened its door as Morrison Field in 1936 and the named changed to the Palm Beach International Airport in August of 1948. Today, more than 6.5 million passengers pass through the airport every year with more than 200 nonstop flights daily and 14 airlines.
The airport is also home to five TSA dogs and is one of 30 airports in the country with an onsite TSA Pre-Check office.
