Run 4 The Sea Next Saturday
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019 on Saturday, June 15th. The 4-mile run supports the Center’s mission of sea turtle research and rehabilitation and ocean conservation.
The run is timed and will run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The run is on June 15th and is open to all walkers and runners who wish to participate. Kids can join in on the fun and participate in the 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start after the 4-mile run has begun. Parents can either cheer their child on or run with them at no additional charge. The cost for the Fun Run is $20 dollars per child and the cost includes the run, a child’s t-shirt and a medal.
The 4-mile Run 4 The Sea starts at 7 am and is open to runners and walkers. Race participants are invited to stay after the run for a post-race celebration with kids activities, vendors, breakfast and an award ceremony. Awards will be giving to the Top Overall male and female, Master male and female and Top Three male and female for 13 age groups. Runner gift bags and finisher medals will be given to all participants.
Check in begins at 6:15 am the morning of the race or at several packet pick up locations before the race day. Registration for the Run ends on Thursday, June 13th and costs $45 dollars for the 4-Mile Run.
Those who are out of town and wish to participate can participate in the Virtual Run. There is no age limit or time restrictions for the run plus you’re given the flexibility to run wherever you’d like. To join in, just post your distance and photo to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Facebook page. The cost to join in on the Virtual Run is $40 dollars and a medal and t-shirt will be mailed in July to all that participate.
