The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the museum is $18 for adults, $10 for youth ages 13-17 and $3 for children ages 6-12. Kayaking and canoeing are great outdoor activities that you and your family can do while safely social distancing this Summer. The St. Lucie Inlet Preserve offers a scenic route for you to paddle down while experiencing interesting South Florida plants and wildlife.

Delaware Scrub Natural Area is a 16-acre piece of land that was acquired by the Town of Jupiter and Palm Beach County in 2005. Jones Creek, a tributary of the Loxahatchee River, lies along the east side of the natural area. A unique feature of the Delaware Scrub Natural Area is the freshwater dome swamp composed of cypress trees, which is rare in today’s urban areas. The area includes a large boardwalk and is great for hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking.

If you live in the Palm Beaches, you and your family have the opportunity to canoe the Grassy Water Preserve every Saturday as the City of West Palm hosts a group tour along the 23 square-mile stretches of water while a guide tells paddlers about the history and ecology of the area. The cruise is through one of Florida's cleanest reservoirs on the preserve which also serves as a source of drinking water to residents of West Palm Beach.

It's only $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6 and over to participate in the fun! You'll need to sign up with a partner because it takes 2 to paddle in a canoe.
